After the hottest day of the year so far the moths really were flying tonight - total of 254 of 59 species with 5 NFY, 1 NFG. Lit up at 22.10 attended till 01.00 when I ran out of pots .
First moth on a window was the 2nd record this month of a
Bordered Straw a scarce immigrant, NFG was a Scallop Shell,
NFY were- Double Lobed, 2 Yellow Barred, Corn Borer, Pebble Prominent, Swallow Tail .

Fantastic night with 72 moths of 37 species - 1NFG , 7 NFY
At 22.50 I netted a STRIPED HAWKMOTH - NFG , these are usually very scarce in Devon , however this spring because of the southerly airflow around 15 have been recorded - these are normally seen in Southern Europe- evidence of other immigrant moths was an L Album Wainscot ( NFY) and Rusty Dot Pearl
Remaining moths trapped included-
