Joined up with Dave Pakes and friends at South Milton Ley from 21,45 - 00. 30 ( they stayed a lot later than me )

Dry after 21.00 so 2 traps on from 18.15- o/night . Total of 40 moths of 7 species - very little after 22.30

MON 29 JAN 

 Cooler night , cloudy, SSW breeze - 1 trap on from 17.30- o/night , 

nothing arrived after 22.30 

On Sunday evening there had been an influx of Euchromius ocellea

a migrant moth from Africa brought here by the Saharan dust on a brisk southerly air flow - Chris Vincent trapped 8 , another mother had 2 - both Plymouth based .

Big surprise this morning when I found I had which I potted around 22.30

There have only been 13 previous Devon records and only 2 of those were in January
