Morning - by the patio door in our bedroom a Large Yellow Unerwing - NFY , expect this in May !

Dry after 21.00 so 2 traps on from 18.15- o/night . Total of 40 moths of 7 species - very little after 22.30

Overnight added-

3 Euchromius ocellea- that makes 5 this week

MON 29 JAN 

 Cooler night , cloudy, SSW breeze - 1 trap on from 17.30- o/night , 

nothing arrived after 22.30 

On Sunday evening there had been an influx of Euchromius ocellea

a migrant moth from Africa brought here by the Saharan dust on a brisk southerly air flow - Chris Vincent trapped 8 , another mother had 2 - both Plymouth based .

Big surprise this morning when I found I had which I potted around 22.30

There have only been 13 previous Devon records and only 2 of those were in January

Macros - 1 Silver Y-NFY, 1 Angle Shades - NFY - both of these classified as immigrants, 1 Double Striped Pug .
